Ok, another loss to Texas is in the books. I'm glad the team didn't completly fall apart and roll over to the Horns. Thats a good thing. The Cats had chances early but could not get the runs home. Black pitched a helluva game and showed promise for the future. I like this kid.
When you don't get a hit in the final 6 innings, your not going to win many games, espically against ranked opponents.
Looking forward, this weekend Central Arkansas needs to be the turning point in the season. UCA is not a bad squad and the Bobcats really need to find a way to win this series.
The Cats get to finish up against Lamar and UTSA before the Southland tournament. The Cats should not have a problem with making the tournament.
Again, this weekend is HUGE in righting the ship for the Cats.

This team has NO BATS---pitching can only get you so far. Either fire the hitting coach or recruit some BATS!!!!!!!

But Texas State MUST start hitting if they want to have a shot in the tournament.
I am not fond of the idea that State has to win the SLC tournament to get to the NCAA tourney.
